Crochet Gift Card Holder Pattern


These cute handmade gift card holders were inspired from onesheepishgirl. It’s a really cute idea if you’re giving someone a gift card, because gift cards are so impersonal. I think something hand-made with that card makes it more personal I think. I’ve added another version with a flap and button. Happy Crocheting!

Gift Card Holder Pattern Row 1 – Chain 11, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc across (10 sc).

Row 2 through 33 – Chain 1 and turn, sc across (10 sc)

Row 34 – sc on first 2 sts tog (dec), sc in next 6 sc, sc next 2 sts tog (dec) (8 sc)

Row 35 – dec st on first 2 sts, sc in next 4 sc, dec st on last 2 sts (6 sc)

Row 36 – dec st on first 2 sts, sc in next 2 sc, dec st on last 2 sts (4sc)

Row 37 – dec st on first 2 sts, dec st on last 2 sts (2 sc). Fasten off for just the flap version.

For the button version: Row 38 – Chain 8 and slip stitch on row 37 to create a loop for the button and add button to appropriate position.

Add some embroidery for embellishments. That’s for another tutorial.
